Mystery Research Club is a club at North High that Haruhi had went to and found that it was not interesting, because it didn't have any real clients. Haruhi also claims that all its members are nothing more than "fanatic mystery book otakus".
The club returned to the spotlight in Seven Wonders Overtime, when a second-year member, who was in Kyon and Haruhi's second-year class but had only transferred into the school at the start of the academic year, visited the SOS Brigade to pass down literature.
