An unnamed security guard appears in The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. He guards Kouyouen in the Alternate Timeline. When Kyon enters the school and finds Haruhi Suzumiya, the security guard notices Kyon isn't from the school and attempts restrains him from getting closer to Haruhi, though Kyon is still able to get Haruhi to remember who he is. After Haruhi realises Kyon is John Smith and faints, the security guard asks somebody to call a teacher.
