Summary
Haruhi hosts the SOS Brigade Mystery Pot Fest secretly at school, as she had promised a hot pot for Christmas. As Kyon mentally comments that he is still too exhausted to remake the world after what happened, Haruhi mentions that he especially has to regain his strength after the hospital stay.
The Brigade tastes the dish. Nagato identified it as illuyanka, a high-class dish from Ancient Egypt. The Brigade finds it delicious, but Kyon believes that it is only because Haruhi wanted it to be that way, and thinks perhaps this ancient delicacy "was born moments earlier".
Kyon is touched, hopes for another party next year, and wants to bring the recipe to his family. The party was put together with the help of Koizumi's "connections", and Koizumi wonders if recreating the recipe at Kyon's place is a good idea.
Haruhi says she plans a surprise to celebrate Kyon's return from the hospital. She then makes Kyon keep his promise to put on a reindeer costume and perform for them.
