The Intuition of Haruhi Suzumiya (涼宮ハルヒの直観, Suzumiya Haruhi no Chokkan)[8] (Suzumiya Haruhi no Chokkan) is a Haruhi Suzumiya light novel that is composed of three stories, including one all-new story.[9]

Development[]

The Yen Press hardcover release announcement on August 31, 2020 projected a November 25, 2020 release date.[1] The next day it was announced that the English digital release would occur simultaneously with the Japanese hardcover release.[2] Later in mid October 2020, the hardcover English version was announced to have a projected release date in June 2021.[3]

This story was issued alongside Noizi Ito's second Haruhi artbook, Haruhi's Many Kinds of Flowers (ハルヒ百花 Haruhi Hyakka) for the tenth anniversary of the Haruhi franchise. It takes place during the shrine visit on January 3rd mentioned by Haruhi in the prologue to The Intrigues of Haruhi Suzumiya.

Seven Wonders Overtime[]

This story was issued in The Sneaker Legend, the 30th anniversary edition of Kadokawa's Sneaker Bunko. It takes place at the end of May after the events of The Surprise of Haruhi Suzumiya (Final Part) and features the return of the Mystery Research Club.

Tsuruya's Challenge[]

鶴屋さんの挑戦 Tsuruya-san no Chōsen

This story was collected straight into the light novel release.

T, the transfer student from the Mystery Research Club who is in Kyon and Haruhi's class, visits the Literary Club again and has a fruitful conversation with Itsuki Koizumi about various mystery novels. Haruhi then arrives, and after settling down at her desk, receives an e-mail from Tsuruya, titled Challenge, which includes a short story attached. After the SOS Brigade solve the mystery of the story, Tsuruya e-mails them with two more stories. Eventually, the SOS Brigade realize that Tsuruya has been listening in on them through an eavesdropping device worn by T, who had stayed behind all this time, and find out that the Mystery Research Club were collaborating on a mystery attraction with Tsuruya, having gained permission to use T's contacts as part of their story. Then Tsuruya, who was rumored to have been overseas at the time, surprises the SOS Brigade with her return.
